Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to making gen3block.com accessible to everyone

Conformance Target

GEN3BLOCK Limited aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, and more usable to everyone.

1Introduction

GEN3BLOCK Limited is committed to ensuring that our website and platform are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. This accessibility statement applies to gen3block.com and the GEN3BLOCK AI Readiness Assessment platform.

We want as many people as possible to be able to use our website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Change colours, contrast levels, and fonts using browser or device settings
  • Zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate most of the website using a keyboard alone
  • Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the latest versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

2How Accessible This Website Is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible at this time. The following sections describe the current state of accessibility across our site.

2.1 Things We Are Doing Well

  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks and heading hierarchy throughout
  • All images include meaningful alternative text
  • Colour contrast ratios meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
  • All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard
  • Focus indicators are visible on all interactive components
  • Forms include associated labels and descriptive error messages
  • Pages have unique, descriptive title elements
  • No content flashes more than three times per second

2.2 Known Limitations

We are actively working to address the following known issues:

  • Some third-party embedded content (such as video players) may not be fully accessible
  • PDF report downloads may not be fully navigable by screen reader without remediation — accessible alternatives are available on request
  • Complex data visualisations in assessment results use ARIA labels but may not convey all detail to screen reader users
  • Some older browser and assistive technology combinations may experience reduced functionality

3Technical Specification

Accessibility of gen3block.com relies on the following technologies working in combination with your browser:

  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript (React / Next.js)
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA.

3.1 Tested Environments

We regularly test our website with the following combinations:

  • NVDA + Chrome on Windows 10/11
  • JAWS + Edge on Windows 10/11
  • VoiceOver + Safari on macOS and iOS
  • TalkBack + Chrome on Android
  • Keyboard-only navigation in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge

4Disproportionate Burden

GEN3BLOCK Limited does not currently claim any exemptions for disproportionate burden under the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018, as we are a private-sector organisation. However, we apply the same diligence in assessing the cost and feasibility of accessibility improvements and endeavour to remediate all identified issues in a timely manner.

5What We're Doing to Improve

GEN3BLOCK is committed to a continuous programme of accessibility improvements:

  • Conducting automated accessibility audits using Axe and Lighthouse on each release
  • Scheduling manual user testing with disabled users at major platform milestones
  • Including accessibility acceptance criteria in all new feature development
  • Training development team members on accessible design and development practices
  • Reviewing and updating this statement at least annually or whenever significant changes are made to the site
